In 2026, Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians, a medical group in Columbus, Ohio, was affected by a third-party data breach involving their medical billing vendor, La Perouse. La Perouse reported unauthorized access to its systems between March 29–30, 2026. A forensic review was completed by May 18, 2026, and notification letters were mailed to affected individuals on May 29, 2026. The Maine Attorney General received a report of the breach, and the incident was also reported to the HHS Office for Civil Rights in September 2025, with an initial estimate of over 501 affected individuals across all clients.
