The breach was discovered on October 9, 2025. Notification letters were mailed to affected individuals on April 22, 2026, and the Maine Attorney General was notified on April 23, 2026.
The confirmed data types compromised include names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, dates of birth, addresses, and other personally identifiable information. An estimated 6,808 individuals were affected, including at least 38 Maine residents. The full scope of affected states has not been publicly confirmed.
Third-party forensic specialists and legal counsel investigated the incident, concluding that an unauthorized individual may have accessed and copied certain data.
