On April 17, 2026, La Perouse LLC began mailing notification letters to individuals affected by a data breach. The incident involved unauthorized access to a third-party billing platform, which La Perouse LLC identified on July 8, 2025. This breach affected at least seven medical groups, primarily in California, and was reported to the California Attorney General.
The breach exposed sensitive information for at least 501 individuals, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, patient identification and medical record numbers, medical information, and health insurance information. The total number of affected individuals has not yet been publicly disclosed, and no filings with other state Attorney Generals have been confirmed. Affected individuals were offered at least 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring. The forensic investigation indicated unauthorized access between March 29–30, 2026.
