An investigation determined an unauthorized party accessed ANIBIC's systems between March 7, 2025, and March 8, 2026. ANIBIC learned on May 18, 2026, that certain files containing program member information had been accessed, and reported the incident to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on July 17, 2026.
The breach exposed the personal information of 1,918 individuals. Affected data types include names, contact information, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, health insurance information, medication information, diagnostic information, and service details. It remains unclear if any official breach notification letters have been publicly released or if specific state attorney general filings have occurred.
