Valsoft Corporation Inc. d/b/a AllTrust, a financial services provider, experienced a cybersecurity incident between February 12 and February 15, 2024, involving potential unauthorized access to or acquisition of private information. The breach was disclosed via state attorney general filings in California and Montana.
The exposed data included names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, dates of birth, government-issued ID numbers, financial account numbers, and email usernames and passwords. While 69 Montana residents were confirmed affected, the total number of individuals impacted in California and other states remains unclear. Official breach notification letters were issued.
A class action lawsuit, identified as In re: AllTrust Data Breach Litigation, was filed following the incident and later resolved by settlement in a Florida circuit court. Additional federal lawsuits have also been filed.
