ADT, Inc. detected a cybersecurity incident on April 20, 2026, which involved unauthorized access to a limited set of customer and prospective customer data. The company terminated the intrusion and notified law enforcement.
The exposed data types include names, phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses. For a smaller percentage of individuals, dates of birth and the last four digits of Social Security numbers or Tax IDs were also exposed. ADT stated that no payment information, such as bank accounts or credit cards, was accessed, and there was no exposure of medical data.
