On August 26, 2025, the Rodenburg Law Firm detected anomalous activity in its network. An investigation concluded that an unauthorized third party had accessed the network for a short period. The firm reported the incident and began notifying affected individuals on April 21, 2026.
The breach exposed the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, payment card numbers, and medical conditions and treatment information of 81,307 individuals. Of those, 17 are residents of Maine. The company has not acknowledged claims by the Akira Ransomware group for responsibility.
